Everytime something like what's currently happening in the US happens, I see people on twitter point towards Germany and say: "They have outlawed Nazis!"

Which is technically true? But doesn't really change anything, when you're dealing with the same type of instituionalised blindness for fascism.

No Law fully protects your country from breeding fascists.

Just remembered that a few days after the G20 protests (which caused a gigantic wave of terrible horseshoe theory discourse in the German media and completely disregarded any cases of demonstrated police violence) there was a rather big gathering of Nazis somewhere in Eastern Germany, where people were doing Hitler Salutes and were selling Nazi paraphenalia.

The police did nothing and there was no debate whatsoever.

Really happy with that navigation app that I found as an alternative to Google #Maps:

MAPS.ME, see http://maps.me/en/home

It is based on #OpenStreetMap data, but has a much better user experience than the other app that I tried.
It works with offline maps, so I don't use up so much mobile data on my trip. And it navigated me really well today, on foot, twice.
So, yay for alternative to the evil data gatherer! :)
