even if one disagrees with how they perceive that the antifascist communities take action, i think they should not let that argument take more space than the argument that being "anti fascism" is a good thing. i mean, when these people are going off calling antifa a terrorist group, and giving no space to what antifa literally means and never saying that that fascism is actually really fucking evil... they themselves are basically arguing that fascism is tolerable and preferable to being against fascism. well, thats about what i expect from linux boys who never had a struggle in their life except for setting up archlinux.

WOW!!! I use a text replacement plugin for firefox which changes the names of some places, for example: a terf houseproject a used to live in is "the bad place" and a bar full of horrible racist transmisogynist antifa is changed from "xb" to "shithole"

@colomar @megfault @BryanLunduke antifa isnt a political party, its not a club, its not a meetup. its a belief. of people with that belief, there are many groups, with many overlapping and also opposing goals. the media acts as if theres a unified antifa governance and all people with the belief support the same praxis. dont buy the media tropes nor perpetuate them.

@colomar @megfault @BryanLunduke small semantic point: no one is really "from" antifa or able to represent it, as its not a unified community. its a political stance. i think the better term would be "is an antifa". there are many small and large intersecting communities within but like, no one comes from antifascism, they come from antifa communities , groups, scenes, federations, etc. i think its an important distinction the media doesnt recognize.
