Ooh, I decided to get a curiouscat.

Feel free to ask/tell me stuff! :)
@edensaesthetic Since the 60's, people in the South-West of France usually say "chocolatine" instead of "pain au chocolat". There is a *huge* debate among people here about which of the two terms is the better ^^. Lot of people our ages troll each other with this.
Okay so my strongest is that whilst is incorrect, we should only use while.
@edensaesthetic "Pain au chocolat" is the true term. "Chocolatine" is a neologism.

* people who wear strong scent to a place people will be eating
* Oxford comma (literal illiteracy)
* more grammar things than I could enumerate actually ...
Isn't boiling things just a weird Britishness?
@edensaesthetic
i still to this day get mad about the concept of "Mac vs PC"
macs are personal computers! PCs are more than just computers that run windows! I pretty much always know what people mean in context and it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme but I will absolutely die on this hill
Hey Witches!
What's the most trivial hill on which you'd be willing to die?
(For people unfamiliar with the phrase - it's just "What opinion do you hold passionately despite it being trivial?")
Because I have incredibly strong views about people who boil broccoli.
"Ugh this medication makes me sleep too much, I'm going to stop taking it."
>sleeps for fourteen plus hours
Body, can you not.
Mecha legs are cool. Mecha knee highs are very cool. https://icosahedron.website/media/5oVQGbWIUK_tJwI-Qbk
...what's a casual compliment for a man being attractive
b'cos like I frequently call women cute and then I called a guy cute and he _looked_ at me.
"hunky" isn't really from this century,
"hot" makes it seem like I want to frick him..
bugs Afficher plus
um apparently I fell asleep four hours ago.
which is fine. except it's _now_ midnight and I am not tired, so my sleep is lowkey fucked. :')
@edensaesthetic wasm is actually quite cool (it's a long time since I found anything in programming quite cool)
[a tarot reading]
"Okay, looks like your future is... the 18 of Slime-Coated Obstacles."
"Is that bad?"
"There are several ways to read this. We like to think obstacles are bad, but sometimes... they're good? And slime... I mean, it's slimy, but it's also slippery? So maybe you'll slip right over an obstacle?"
"... This is making a lot of sense for me right now."
Oh my dearest god is it cold in this room. :(
(had no formal programming teaching, just learned python to do crypto one day, then did R, then Rust and bits of Haskell and Clojure, so like I've never learned theory)
okay so I just learned about cons and s-exps and OH MY GOD THE FST THING IN CLOJURE FINALLY MAKES SENSE
(I made a subtle reference to house of leaves on FB and I'm so hyped that someone got it!!!!!)
