A few months back a client emailed asking how to do a predictive thing - he was trying to build a model to predict sales so that we could find out how much impact non-modelled factors had on sales, like outside advertising or real-world events.

It was explained. He said it was too simple, and he'd do it himself. We didn't object.

He emailed again a few days ago to explain that he wanted us to look through it.

He'd tried to use revenue as a predictor for sales.

SO. I watched the real Sword Art Online after only ever seeing the Abridged.

I uh, had no idea some of these lines were even close to the actual source material. I thought they were just tasteless jokes.

@ivydarkmoon That's a pretty perfect way of putting it. I'm trying to be careful by stating it as 'Oppressive Christianity" rather than all Christianity, but mainstream Catholicism definitely has some really problematic beliefs they put on people.

so since transitioning publicly 2 or so years ago, I made some effort to learn makeup.

My daily process rn is:
* moisturiser (Lush's Enzymion is so perf for oily skin)
* foundation
* eyeliner

bcos my eyelashes are freaking long anyway, I've always ignored mascara, but I think like learning bronzer/blush would be a good step this year?

So like the last few months I've been thinking about my relationship with autism as a diagnosis.

My partner asked me about it this weekend because she knows I have #prosopagnosia and that it's frequently connected to autism.

And I really, really don't know. There's meant to be a lot more diagnostics for it now, so I think I'm going to look into it a lot more, but if anyone has guides/advice on figuring out their own diagnosis, it'd be helpful.

And that got to me. When I was growing up I always thought if I had children I would of course spank them, but I wouldn't `be anything like my parents`.

And it's like no shit, of course spanking is wrong. But without that time/space to think about these ideologies outside of oppressive Christianity, the thought just festers in your head, unevaluated.

Context for why I'm interested in this:

Was raised hecka Christian, and I still got a lot of toxic ideologies in my head. I'm trying to remove a few of them, and reading through articles that discuss it frequently help me reevaluate why I was raised that way, what my parents/teachers thought, and why I'm healthy to move away from them and all vestiges of them I didn't notice existed.

Just read through this from a link on Reddit - it's how a ministry presented a child marriage in a way that made it sound 'loving'/'caring'/'inspirational'.

It's kinda sick, and I wouldn't encourage reading it if you're not in a good place.
But if you are, I think it's bizarre and interesting in terms of framing and how people can use their faith to justify horrific things without ever calling judgement into account.
