night in the woods legit makes me so emotional, it is the best game I've ever experienced.
@edensaesthetic it's in my top three, although I still rate Undertale above all (but there are special considerations there)
@kara Undertale is absolutely gorgeous, and I think I totally get why you might rate it above NITW! Have you finished NITW yet? I've been seeing your playthrough toots!
@edensaesthetic yeah, I've actually played it through all the way once, but I missed a lot of stuff I didn't need to miss and also wanted to hang more with Bea this time, so I'm working through a second time at a more leisurely pace. I've put video of that first playthrough on my YouTube channel if you're curious (it gets a bit weepy, a few times, and you have to put up with my wretched attempts to voice characters)

@edensaesthetic yeah...I like Mae a lot, and she shares some points of similarity with me (I also fucked up college when I went and came back home after a couple years because of brain problems, although less severe ones), but she desperately needs some wisdom
@kara She does. Really she's just young, and adjusting to that kind of breakdown is really really hard. Like it messes with a lot of your faith in reality.
She had a counsellor who tried their best, but wasn't suited, and she just didn't seek help from her friends. It is ultimately very sad, but her friends are wonderful.
@edensaesthetic yeah. honestly, if I had friends like hers to return to, I might have turned out a bit better :/ twenty years later, still struggling a lot because of that time
