Based on just what recruiters keep sending me, I think I need to move from rust to C++ and R to Python.
Which sucks, because I really don't enjoy python. I feel like C++ after Rust should be okay though, like just Rust with a fucked concurrency and more segfaults
@edensaesthetic I can confirm that a *lot* of machine learning stuff can be done with Python. Become familiar with numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow and torch. You don't have to master them, but knowing your way around will probably be useful.
If you like R, then pandas should hopefully make you feel somewhat at home.
@icefox I've done TF through Keras in R, that was pretty fun, but yeah, reading any Python in the TF Github is like a brick wall of scariness.
I'll give pandas a shot next week for my normal workflow on like a mini project, see if I can incorporate it in that way :)
