I seem to get really unhappy/tired just before a rainstorm, and feel a lot better after it starts raining.
It's not intentional, it's not like I actually look at the weather forecast. Maybe it's a pressure sensitivity? Maybe it's a witch!weather thing?
@cassolotl Ooh, that's really interesting. I think more I just feel unnaturally tired and very wound up.
I didn't know about alexithymia either, that sounds like it must make self-care really difficult!
@edensaesthetic Re: alexithymia, oh my god, self-care is so hard! How do I even take care of myself if I don't even know whether I feel good or bad, and I have no intuitive sense of what I like and don't like to do to feel better?? D:
@edensaesthetic I feel similarly, like the clouds are a tension that the rain releases
@lambdagrrl That's exactly it! That's why I thought it must be a general pressure thing?
@edensaesthetic yeah, or maybe humidity?
@edensaesthetic My joints play up before a rainstorm and feel better afterwards - and alexithymia means I often misdiagnose pain as tiredness or grumpiness. I wonder if it's something like that! For me it's like an all-over full-body headache.
