jllstngr @ed

I would like some information about how effective it is and how to legally get it.

@ed how effective in what sense? Its hard to quantify

Its very good at alleviating dysphoria, but that is a long process, and doesn't stop dysphoria towards specific things per se.

Needless to say, its the start of a chapter in life where whatever struggles you face to make ends meet, and whatever struggle you face against our society will intensify and few women are left unscarred

But if you feel you know it is the right call -- that likely means its the right call

@ed look towards local community centers for resources and pointers for the path to get things sorted legally

But as someone who has transitioned for years, you can't trust the legal pathways and gatekeepers, I would advise looking into grey market solutions once you do start

@CursedConfetti
I see, thank you really much for answering
This could be really complicated from a financial viewpoint though; in the legal way I was wondering if healthcare services would pay a part of the therapy

@ed they can, when I started i saw a free therapist through my community service -- I didn't find much use with them beyond getting legally greenlit, but that is a common service
