we've all got our computers, a ps4, a switch, a vive, and a large pile of other board games like i basically live for this weekend

not to mention so much beer/cider/whiskey, a ridiculous amount of popcorn, a large pile of bacon, and ofc doritos b/c we're gamer af

at the gaming weekend let's goooo

we just ate extremely good burgers and in a little bit we're gonna play drunk mysterium - taking a shot whenever we guess wrong #gameing #boardgames

if there's one thing reddit is good for it's giving me curated, easy to scroll images of adorable animals

i work in a public building. this is a scenario we've talked about and made plans for and been trained on (as much as you can train or plan for this shit which i suspect is very little)

anyway self-care is important and i need to remind myself of that and stop reading this stuff. at least for now.

i briefly forgot how horrific the world is and got on for a quick break from work

saw more texts from the kids at the school (with no CW ofc) and now i'm all anxious and shakey again

fuck i heard about the shooting last night but i was at work and i've gotten really good at compartmentalizing at work

now i've seen the video and i can already feel the anxiety rising D: shootings always put me on edge

i'm seeing fellow librarians talking about reviewing our active shooter training which is a good idea but also the scariest fucking training i've ever done

i don't want to get shot. i don't want anyone to get shot ever again. this is absurd in a deeply, deeply unfunny way and i'm so sick of it
