@Mirzaba i never got into it enough to be all that knowledgeable about the meta but doing a google just now aggro rogue seems about what i was going for back in the day
i wish there were a free version of arena because honestly drafting is the best concept in any tcg
a bootleg client would be great too but it'd be so hard to avoid getting shut down :(

one thing that always really put me off about hearthstone is how they rely entirely on the booster system. if i could buy individual cards like in other tcgs i might actually put a little money in it and play more often, but i'm not gonna pay for boosters for an online game
it's nice that it's on mobile now though because i can play casually on my lunch break or whatever and that's a much better fit for me

the good news is the rogue deck that i built several years ago did pretty well when i tried a couple matches? not sure if that's because they're matching me with similar tier decks or if they've actually managed to keep things balanced but i'll take it either way

if you and/or your daughters ever want to play i have a pretty solid multiplayer group! i wasn't able to play much with them this weekend because of work but we had about 10 people at one point and it was super fun

I love the new pace! I've always been more about the pauseable than the RTS with paradox games but since i mostly play stellaris multiplayer slowing down is good. starbases are probably my fav new thing, i love how customizable they are & love the ability to upgrade & downgrade as the political situation changes. the biggest thing that's been tripping me up is the AI still being an idiot when it comes to automatic exploration - not being able to move through systems w/o a science ship there first has made me rely on auto a lot more heavily b/c i'll have 4-5 science ships going asap & i don't need that kind of micro in my life

Then when I was fourteen I read Scott McCloud’s “Reinventing Comics” and it blew my mind. The industry you think of as “comics” is a SCAM, man! Webcomics are gonna blow print out of the water in quality and variety! Small transactions will utterly capsize how we support creators! The infinite canvas will become a standard narrative tool! The book caught a lot of flak at the time for seeming too optimistic and far fetched, but it made me feel like I was riding a rocket that was just taking off 🚀
