a patron just came up to me and said "hey do you know why we love water so much? think of where we are the first 9 months"

i just sort of stared at him for a second and he WAGGLED HIS EYEBROWS AT ME and said "the embryonic fluid! think about it!"

i would rather not think about this interaction ever again actually thank you and good night

@Altruest yeah group chats are coming back in a big way. i'm all for it honestly

i think the platforms will still change but there's not this need to be on *everything* any more

@kithop @shel can confirm, the one time i was foolish enough to wear my glasses to a metal show i had a band stop mid-show so that the rest of the pit could help me look for them

everybody stopped instantly and started looking around, someone found them and gave them back to me, and they helped me get back to my friends outside the pit before anything started up again

i've seen people help each other up the instant they start to fall, immediately create paths for anyone who wants to get out, give each other water, etc etc. i've been to a fair amount of alt/rock shows and none of them compare to metal in terms of looking out for the people around you

this reminds me of this time a guy on the street was harassing me from his car and after i'd spent a few minutes completely ignoring him he yelled "did you cut your hair short so boys wouldn't talk to you"

@shel i'm not a furry but i'm way deeper in the internet than pretty much all my coworkers and i'm constantly making jokes/references where i'm like "why did i say that please don't make me explain it" and then inevitably i'm asked to explain it and things always sounds so much weirder out loud to other people than they do online
