played some solid star trek: bridge crew tonight

the controls can be a bit clunky at times in #VR but it's really fun and i love the co-op aspect of it. too many games i have to play with friends are just about shooting other people and their friends

we also did one sad attempt at a mission with the original enterprise layout and oh my god the buttons. those buttons will haunt me in my sleep tonight

valid but each individual player is working together under a general play call to strategize as a team which makes it p different from strategy board games where one person controls a side (you can make an argument for the coach or qb being the "player" in this scenario but there's still a lot of individual strategizing involved with football players that you don't see from board game pieces)

and i defs think the NFL needs to do everything in its power (a lot more than it's doing) to minimize injury/make things safer for players but 4 games is a big exaggeration. injuries definitely introduce randomness but plenty of players play a full season

i also haven't touched a fighting game since just after injustice 2 came out so i'm fully expecting to be bad but i've heard it's simple and fun so that bodes well

okay several people at the party tonight convinced me - i'm gonna buy dbfz and let it download overnight
