i'm making a romance book list for february and pulling the covers from amazon because tbh it's just faster

my purchase suggestions are going to be utterly ruined, take that algorithms

to be clear i'm not talking about political opinions of sports organizations or health concerns that go along with playing sports - those are valid and real and important opinions

i'm talking about "har har sportsball look at this guy throwing a ball around instead of doing math or whatever," feeling self-important for not knowing who's playing etc etc

this isn't a subtoot, i haven't seen anyone on here doing this thankfully but

here's your annual reminder that being a dick about things that people enjoy is still shitty even if it's mainstream/popular/you feel in the minority not liking it

my coworker put up a "superb owl" display which yes is very clever and funny but we also....have patrons......who enjoy sports....

anyway i left half of the display as owls and put up some actual football books on the other half
