This weekend I'll be flying internationally but my passport still says $deadname and a M on it. Is there a risk of the customs/immigration folks in Argentina being like "you're a girl and clearly not this dude you can't enter on his passport lol"? Would it be safer for me to boymode for the flight? (Or same thing returning to the US?)

Bayspreading: the web coding equivalent of 'manspreading', where your web page loads stuff from a million separate Amazon and Google servers located in the San Francisco Bay Area because you figure 'the Silicon Valley Cloud is everyone's personal computer these days, isn't it?'

and you don't realise 'everyone' in the world doesn't host data in the legal jurisdiction of the USA or even wants their data packets going beyond their local USB cable.

"Learn how to code" is the new "if you just get a degree you will have a good job"

If everyone takes that advice like everyone took the college advice you will have a shitload of coders and not enough jobs

That will force the wages of coders down to the point you will be begging for microsoft to take your code for free just to have your name out there.

Its what happened to writing and its part of why its hard to get a paid gig, too many writers willing to work for free.

So "learn how to code" is bad advice, Jobs are going away and they are never coming back we need to address this.

We need a universal dividend on all of the automated labor on earth paid out to all of its citizens

Great, the "reach out to us if you're feeling down" brigade's marching around again.

Here's an idea: If you know someone who is depressed, *you* reach out to *them*. Because they're not going to do that—depression gets in the way of that. There are resources out there that talk about what you can do[1]. Be proactive, not reactive.
