@vfrmedia You need a drone to carry a little device (w/ solar power & battery) to the top and place the network node there. 😈

@vfrmedia I can help. If you want you can add the mast itself without touching the building. Or you can clean up the building. *Some* buildings are mapped in detail, for 3d rendering, some aren't. If you give me the area, I can tell you what is what

I wonder if you can realistically create small devices with & solar panels & software and then leave/hide them around a city to help build up a and fill in holes.

All this talk about networks, and I really should just join 🙂

@vfrmedia OK, interesting... I dunno much about RF stuff. Maybe I should play.

@Cocoron "God grant me the confidence of a British journalist who has just read an article on Irish history"

Looks like the Americans will want everyone to care about an political issue. Have they ever cared about an issue outside ?

I wonder what the state of the art is with network internect connections? It's currently piquing my interest. I'm pretty sure I'd need to learn about transmission stuff to properly learn about this, and get some custom hardware. The range on isn't great

@starbreaker "What, you *don't* have a top of the line Macbook and a fiber connection?"

@duck57 @Sylvhem Ung, I know. We keep building more ineffecient software. Then it's the tragedy of the commons and everything is slow. :(

@zool I'd rather put something half baked out there for people to see. Just so I have visible contributions. I'm terrible for not finishing things!

@matty obviously the cpu is doing much more. But many GUI things dont seem 100x faster to me...

I need some sort of spell/process to get myself out of my funk and to not be afraid to do things, and to *do* the simple things I need to do.

Why are computers and phones and things slow. 😔 I remember when I had a 133Mhz CPU. Here I am jiggabytes later and it's all the same.

I've been programming things in , and I've mostly groked the initial hurdles, so I'm having great fun writing really fast programmes (in comparison to my normal python)

I need to release more of the half baked programmes that I have. Got a few guides/blog posts I should write as well.
