@Jim_Trinca I think a lot of them don't think Ireland is independent, and that it's merely like Scotland.

@pony I've also seen people claim that Hitler got the idea for the Holocaust (or how to do it) from US treatment of Native Americans. I've no idea if that's true, but it does seem like making America the most important thing every, again.

I agree that it's bad when someone toots "look at this joke https://twitter.com/user/123", which requires you to go to twitter to see the content.

Whereas I copypaste the content into mastodon, with a link back for attrib, but you don't need to go to twitter to see it.

@wxl @starbreaker I have rarely had a problem with config files being lost or messed up. I use chef on production servers, which is basically keeping them in git anyway

@frankiesaxx I've been doing that, but mostly because it's good content (oh God did I just say that 😮) that I think people here would like. I social networks are like chicken and the egg. Nothing interesting there, so no-one takes part. I'm trying to make mastodon more benefital for people...
