Never apologies for using . They are a part of our sets now (as a part of ). Oldie geeks might not like they, but do they like the euro sign (€)? That's part of unicode!

@ebel Well I like Unicode emojos because they are characters and not images so I can use a custom font (screw mastodon for transforming them to images btw).
But at the same time I don’t really like it because unicode lacks extensibility.

@lanodan_wtch Yep! Actual characters is better than having images, which won't age well, customisability etc.

There's been some extensibility with like the skin colour stuff. (and new characters are always added)

What are you thinking about?

@ebel I was thinking of things like:
- Wolf emojos (like cat ones) and other ones that are probably into the Mutant Emojis.
- Flags / Logos (lojban and Esperanto anyone ?)

@ebel Also unicode should really use modifiers/zero-width-joiner way more often so it can nicely show even if the user doesn’t have the character (for example Smiling Wolf could end up being displayed like that : 😄🐺 )
