Someone should set up a mastodon instance for the community. I know the French OSM community has one...

@ebel what about joining an existant instance focusing on #OSM #OpenStreetMap , even when it is frensh ;-)

@vilbi @ebel reminds me of younger days when I ran a "network 23/spiral" spite for sharing info on the raves/teknivals, every summer (even though I never actually made it to any outside UK) I'd get a barrage of private messages in any combination of English, French and German for the "magic number" (FR and DE GSM networks would could send an ISDN sub address via * and # keys that pointed to a group voicemail; which contained directions to the event (by the last few even GPS coords were used)

@vilbi @ebel je crois que je pourrai (peut-être) utiliser ce réseau OSM Français (aussi je voudrais améliorer ma Français)

@ebel isn't there another way to group on interest? I like #osm but already have a mastodon account

@webmind @ebel I think @gargron is going to add groups to Mastodon soon, in the meantime hashtags are still the best way of indexing info..

@vfrmedia indexing info yes, but for instance a localnodes timeline groups people more. Feeding cross pollination within a group on different topics
