I wonder is there any metric which the UK train network does better than say the German train network?
@_monkey Well shareholders don't get profits. Either the company gets profits, or shareholders get dividends. But I wonder if DB outperforms the UK train network even in that way!
@_monkey obviously you can buy shares in a UK train company, and it can go up in price and you get money for that, and you can't do that with nationalised, non-publically traded, companies. But that sort of edge metric is obviously doesn't apply
