Had one of those discussions with one of the web coders today (cisdude) about abandoning the "form of address" field, or at least making it non-mandatory, in a web form (in German, we have "Frau" (Ms) or "Herr" (Mr)). The thing has unnerved me for years. "But then we will not know how to address people!!", he ventured ... well. Dude. I am a trained specialist in natural language. I have some advice for you. m(
There are some rotten egg dudes out there in the fediverse. The "Report" feature here is way more useful than on birdsite, it goes to your instance admins, who can stop that account interacting with other users on your instance.

Good morning, witches!
Good morning, witches!
No one needs to starve. No one needs to freeze. No one needs to die. There is enough for everyone. More empty homes than all the people without them, more food than grocers can even sell. The labor and the materials to end scarcity exist now. It is not a far-off dream. We can end scarcity in this life.

#musik #startrekdiscovery oh, link vergessen: https://youtu.be/un1v0i_WEhY
Fluffy playthings are good for ripping them apart. At least according to Hermine. #catcontent

So the wife and I took a day tour around the Feldberg (highest summit in Germany outside the alps) yesterday. Gorgeous landscape, good hiking shoes and strong sunscreen recommended. Took us 4.5 hours to complete the 12.8km round trip, not including some breaks here and there. I was so pooped afterwards :) but I love challenging hikes like this.
Travel tip: There are lots of chalets in the area, but take cash with you; most don't accept cards.
A bit of a longshot but
Anyone in the #Seattle area need a place to rent? We got 2 rooms in a shared house opening up next month. $650 or $750, depending on which size. We are a Queer Friendly domicile.
We are a block away from the Arboretum in fabulous Madison park just off of Madison street by a block or so. Enjoy the proximity of Cap Hill without the proximity of cap hill.

I was very late to the gardening party this year. And the place that is supposed to become the garden still needs a lot of work, so balcony it is for this year. Also, we had late frosts and the weather took its time to get warmer... But finally, my beans and peas are showing the first fruits!

people say 'in berlin everyone speaks english' but my friend you should be sceptical of that statement.
that statement basically shows what class of society the speaker is in. no working class people often dont. today i was talking to a syrian refugee in german because it was easier for him than english. old former east germans often speak russian over english.
i know people who only speak english in berlin, walk in to a place and speak to everyone like they assume the person speaks english and im actually embarrassed to be seen with those ppl.
I want to do so many things. Just now, I find myself interested in picking up quilting. Usually, my creativity explodes in times of high workload - so I take this as a sign that I need to set boundaries now, and do creative things as a way of balancing out the pressure. I'm grateful that my athletic routine works quite well atm, because it seems to be good for my mental well-being as well as the physical (apart from that pesky muscle soreness).
