@Terathiel One problem that was fun to have back on StatusNet was if someone set up an extremely-high-limit instance to send you messages that just filled the whole screen in your mentions.
@Terathiel Federation doesn't actually have a character limit at all, so yeah. (Beyond the possibility that some point in the chain rejects extremely large HTTP requests.)
