according to the recipe there's no salt in the dough.
I think that because they take merely seconds to cook, that's not enough time for them to take up enough salt from the water..

do I have to salt the water really heavily or do I add a little salt to the dough? what are your opinions on that?

my #gnocchi experience is as follows:

the recipe says if you use as little flour as possible, and keep the dough as soft as possible. the gnocchi would be nicer, softer and fluffier.

I'm a baker. I can make dough really really soft and still handle it.

my first batch of gnocchi came out as mud. they just were so fluffy that they nearly dissolved in the water.

I then added more flour to firm up the dough and then they came out nice.

that's the problem when you read instructions geared towards people who don't handle dough every day..

lol tell me to make soft dough and I will make soft dough!

now I'm making gnocchi!

I'm not even a vegetarian but I prefer the vegan hot dogs, the kind I can get here are better than the ones with meat. expensive though.

we're making them danish style with pickled cucumbers and roasted onions.

I'm drinking muckefuck and found out that there is no real english word for this kind of coffee substitute? or is there? cichory coffe or barley coffee?

its also super interesting that he talks about "retailwashing" - how architect drawings show lots of small shops in the ground floors, when it's actually pretty difficult to run a small shop nowadays.

and i can't emphasize enough, in denmark you can meet outside because they have fucking toilets everywhere.

wow, it's fascinating how he's talking about "peoplewashing". architects putting drawings or animations of lots of people on their exposes, so everyone can see, "this is a good project" - when people normally would never stay there or be there, because it's too unpleasant and there is nothing to do there.

I'm reminded of copenhagen where a field with trees and a big square was used by hundreds of people for playing boule, and large water pools between houses were used for bathing and swimming in, it was clean water, it was for free - I was so fascinated.
