@natanji we are talking about different things. I was talking about the catholic church and the protestant church and their position in relation to the german state, I never spoke about religion in general and I never said that it should not be talked about in school.

so I see no reason to compare it to the question if arts or sports have a place in school.

if the FC Bayern München and the Flensburg Handewitt Handball club would have exclusive rights to teach sports as they see fit in all public schools, and if they excluded everyone who wasn't in their club... well.. that would be comparable. for me.
