i read an entry on IG from a sex worker for international women’s day telling others to acknowledge the hard labour of sex workers.

so far, so good, right?

then they say that we should pay them for their hard work because that “it’s seen as something that should be given away for free”

that statement gave me a stomachache and i can’t shake it off.

sex isn’t something that is ‘given away’, sex is enthusiastic consent between two or more partners and something you do because you’re horny and you want to.
