@distelfliege From what I've read about academics in the US working conditions there are getting increasingly bleak. I don't know if the same trend applies in Germany.
@bob in germany, if you have to take care of children, you can basically say goodbye to your career.
@bob when I went to uni I was told by a male professor that he thinks women shouldn't be here because they will have kids anyway and the expensive academic education would be wasted on them.
