I'm reading this article about "greener" cars and how we can't make individual transportation green enough to compensate for the sheer amount of transportation that's going on today, in comparison to 50 years ago. also how much more people travel very far.
and then I feel a bit better for being so weird because I don't like to travel far away. I have really never left the small conintent (europe) where I was born and probably never will, if it's not out of necessity.. I don't know what it is. I love seeing places. But it's super strange for me to imagine going far away, around the world, anything like that.

@distelfliege I'm very much the same way. I could see myself biking or walking for a good while, in order to explore and visit all sorts of things. Possibly for quite a while.
Actual travel, while it's exciting, seems more stressful to me than not -- and the faster and more modern it is, the less I'm into it. It's like I appreciate the idea of it more than actually doing it.
