@syndikalista I can recommend the "Havelradweg" it's super beautiful and historically very interesting too.

@distelfliege :) I take it a lot when i am going to visit my parents (and have no time presure) from werder on. but it does not work for comute riding to work/university within berlin :/

@syndikalista commuting in berlin is always hell.

@distelfliege @syndikalista TBH I suspect all big/popular cities are like that. When I used to live in SE England closer to London (I could even cycle to West London in 2 hours) even with some bike paths the route wasn't always enjoyable/safe, especially near major towns (roads are also narrower in SE England than the East, ans have many more dangerous bends/junctions).

my bikes do not go so well on pavement because of the chunky tires.

I bought a really nice, used, Klein for trail running but only rode it a few times. Kind of regret the decision because i SHOULD have bought a less expensive road/cruising bike.

I could also swap tires on my, now ancient, Trek, but the frame on that is a bit smaller than i would probably need.
