i have a mango that needs to be consumed. I want to make a green smoothie with it but tbh I'm afraid to look up recipes because green #smoothie consumers are so health-focused they might ingest awful food just because it's healthy.
I don't want to waste the mango. so I'm tentatively trying to judge the recipes.
@distelfliege What's the recipe? I was raised in a restaurant and can read a recipe like a musician reads sheet music, so I'm a pretty good guide on this stuff.
@distelfliege What do you have on hand? And do you want protein or is that unimportant? Cause I can make some recommendations for a very delicious version.
@SuzanEraslan yes pleaaaase it doesn't matter if protein or not. I have almond milk, oat milk, spinach, a mango, apples, bananas, ginger, almost all spices there are and I have some cashew nuts.
@distelfliege Oooooh, I would absolutely do mango, banana, ginger (if you have a blender that can take the threads, but otherwise it's a good idea to chop it up really finely and just use the juice that results), some cashews, almond or oat milk, spinach for the greens, and then if you have mild curry powder, throw that in. I LOVE curry powder in smoothies-- I do one with banana, peanut butter, and curry powder that is out of this world delicious.
@SuzanEraslan that's it! sounds mouth watering! I might even have a little peanut butter leftover. I have a good blender that will blend everything to smoothness!
@distelfliege Not sure how mango and peanut butter will go together, but they're both delicious and pb&[fruit] are usually exquisite. Report back, as I'm eager to hear how it goes!
@SuzanEraslan I made it without peanut butter with the stuff you suggested and it's heavenly! yummieee thanks again! and the curry powder gives it that little extra kick!
