I've put my #stash back into boxes and - it's a miracle - it takes up less space than before!
I'm downloading my stash as an excel sheet from #ravelry each january and this time, I think some things really don't compute for me.
my "used up" meterage rose by over 6000m.
my stash still increased by 3500m.
does that mean I have added nearly 10000m to it last year? that's hard to believe, it's next to impossible..
@gannet that, and a few other things i hadn't considered 😂
@distelfliege So not all acquired in the last year, anyway.
@gannet that's true! It's a losing battle to reduce my stash though :D
#knitfaster
@gannet 2018 I'm going to make it!
@distelfliege I haven't ever put all my yarn in Ravelry and I'm not sure I ever will.
>.>
@distelfliege It's rather more than you have in that photo anyway. Oops.
@gannet I have always kept up pretty well with yarn, but my fiber stash is totally not in ravelry.
double checking made clear that I DID add over 10000m of yarn to my stash last year. ooops.
a friend moving back to the US giving me a lot of yarn, a friend giving me 2000m of laceweight yarn and a few skeins I added to the ravelry notebook from before 2017, but in 2017, account for that.

@distelfliege thats the whole distance from my home to one site at work; which is long enough that although I can (and used to) ride it with a normal bicycle I prefer my 25 km/h e-bike (and can thankfully work remotely more often, so I don't have to ride in the bad weather (the HR manager and directors discouraged me from that this week)
@vfrmedia I'm now imagining an e-book with a very long piece of yarn tied your so you can find your way back home... @distelfliege
@vfrmedia @distelfliege er, e-bike. Silly autocarrot.
@distelfliege Did you maybe track down some older yarn from previous years that you hadn't added before?
