#cyclingtourplanning I have now, yee-haaah, planned out how to ride 800km through all of germany in 14 days. there will be hills and mountains too.
only after everything was planned out the routing website told me that it's 934km
I don't know where that comes from. it must have re-routed some parts when I wasn't looking.
@agaric that sounds like an adventure! how much time do you have for that?
@distelfliege a good while, im starting school in berlin late august and was planning a month and a half or so for travel. i think i was planning ~100km days. tbh i need to plan it all out better still
@agaric i ran it quickly through this tour planner tool on outdooractive.com and it estimates 1400km. I think that should be doable in 4-5 weeks! you can even do 50km days then. which is more fun if you ask me! :D
@agaric as for the updates: I'm planning to do it next summer, I was figuring out if I can make it at my usual pace of 40-80km per day.
and then I will do my best to toot updates of course :D
can't wait for spring and summer

@distelfliege
oh neat! i was looking for a tool like this! thanks
@distelfliege but most interesting: which route will you take?
@Irgendwiejuna I'm going from Leipzig south following the Elster. next I'm turning westwards at Crossen until I reach the Saale and follow that river for a bit. then, after Saalfeld, the next river to follow is the Loquitz. Then it goes south through Naturpark Frankenwald until we're in bavaria. We ride along the river Haßlach, then Rodach and then Main. We pass Bamberg, Forchheim and then we turn west and follow the Aisch, then we turn south again through Franken and pass Feuchtwangen, ...... it's looong :)
@distelfliege sounds like a dream!
@distelfliege whoa! please post updates. I'm going to try to bike from paris to Amsterdam and then to Berlin this upcoming summer
