The one thing that kept me from using mastoton more a few months back was my self-commitment to bilingual tooting. it became a chore.

as friends of mine who don't speak english aren't active on here any more, I just switched to english.

If I find myself in a discussion with fellow germans, we can always switch to german, especially if we make our replies private.

one person here just made a second account for tooting in german.

I follow ppl who toot in german, in english, in french (though I don't understand much french, lol) and that all feels fine for me.

how are you dealing with more-than-one-language-tooting?

@distelfliege to me it is a problem aswell. I pretty much don't interact in german, because I don't want to annoy everyone else. I don't know how well the language filter works, if it even works for individual toots at all.
