@pinkprius @distelfliege I don't mind it one bit, although depending on the subjects discussed it can make me feel awkward about "breaking in" to an existing conversation as I'm not sure if was meant to be semi private (although I sometimes equally feel the same about English toots).only issue I have about switching languages *in* a toot is it halves the amount of space you have to work with (the #RadioCaroline announcement I tooted was a challenge to fit in!)

@pinkprius @distelfliege C'mon, Leute. German isn't that annoying. Just toot in whatever language you feel like. Some Redewendungen might even get lost in translation, so use all your languages.

Europe used to be multilingual; people learned at least some basic level of other languages.

I'm trying to pick of up some French here whenever I can.

the only thing I'm not going to do any more is tooting bilingual and taking the time to translate every toot.

@Jules jap. ist eigentlich super, ich habe als ich das las, auch überlegt, ob ich das tun soll. aber die leute, wo ich weiß, englisch geht für sie schlecht, sind nicht hier oder nicht mehr hier, wenn sie ihre accounts wieder aktivieren, muss ich mir was überlegen.

aber zweisprachig tooten wirds sicher nicht mehr für mich. das hat mich hier fast vertrieben, weils so mühsam war.

ich bin gespannt, wie es bei dir laufen wird!

@distelfliege Ja ich fand das beim mitlesen schon anstrengend, also die Vorstellung das jedes Mal übersetzen zu müssen deinerseits.

Es gibt halt einige Leute die selbst hauptsächlich deutsch tooten und hier kann ich dann auch deutsches zeug boosten und so.

Mal abwarten :)
