I think about just tooting in english on here. sorry for those wo want to practice their german; but the ppl who followed me who don't speak english aren't here any more, and tooting bilingual is just too much work! feel free to reply in german though!
#meta but tbh i don't like it when ppl post on one social media platform just to tell ppl to follow a link to another social media platform.
(except for instagram/pinterest/youtube etc, which serve a different purpose)
I have reasons not to be on facebook and ppl here may have reasons not to be on twitter or be less on twitter.. what's the point in joining an alternative platform just to be asked to go back to twitter/facebook?
#meta and I like it when ppl do "auto posts" - like when their tweets or insta posts are auto-tooted on mastodon - that they are also check masto later, in case someone reacted to them.
@distelfliege Nah, that sucks. People who automate like that rarely engage. They just broadcast and promote themselves. That's also one of the reasons why Twitter sucks so much these days.
@onreact I admit I unfollowed everyone whose tweets are auto-posts (in most cases from facebook) with no checking back for reactions later.
there will be toots in german, when I post on twitter and automatically here too; I post nearly everything in german over there.
