happy programming! 😋

It's funny, even I was becoming a tad wary of "trigger warnings" because some people were being very aggressive and doctrinaire about them.

But here in a community of actual people who actually use them sensibly for actual needs, instead of having to defend them to gangs of paranoid right-wing crusade addicts...

They're pretty great, really. It just feels so civilized to be able to say "um, yeah, some of you might not wanna look at this one" and save someone a bit of unnecessary distress.

cons of mastodon:

- can't spell "cyber" correctly on the first try anymore

- dating websites look useless compared to all the cute people on my timeline

- guilt when I have to fight kobolds in a D&D game

- my cat is developing even more of a superiority complex due to her online fanbase

A cool thing about my masto experience is that from my POV the federation is mostly French, then a bunch of Canadians, a handful of Brits/Aussies, and then a teeeeeny tiny dusting of us Yanks.

Thank you for not exposing me to flags today.

Hm, if you wrangle it right, can you get two dads stuck in an infinite "hi dad, I'm dad" loop with each other?

duolingo's comment section is very informative

Q: How do I know if it's really love?

A: Please consult IRS Publication 944 (2017), "Infatuations and Romantic Entanglements," which includes a worksheet for disambiguating various types of physically affectionate relationships

Seeing The Merry Wives of Windsor at Shakespeare in the Park. It might be Shakespeare's most masto play, because it's very lewd, and also this production has all women so all the men are trans

as a fun fact, jesusinthe.club is free

10 boosts and I make a mastodon instance there

lol I saw a "if you were born thank a heterosexual" on twitter

1) you don't need to be in love to make a child
2) bisexual and pansexual people exist (shocking I know)
3) a cis man and a trans man can make a baby, and a cis woman and a trans woman can make a baby too*
4) I don't want to *thank* anyone for being born

*I fucked up and forgot that point so I'm redoing the toot

@pobocks are you a librarian? I have a MLS and had a decent following on birdsite back when I thought that was my career (instead of web dev), so it'd be funny if You People found me again 😆
