@cnc I had a therapy session a few days ago where going in I was apprehensive because I'd been in a pretty consistently good mood for a couple of weeks, and ended up digging around to recall the anxieties and negative thoughts that paralyze me sometimes. This was in order to make the session "worthwhile."
In the end, the therapist guided things in a different (better) direction anyway, so I need not have deliberately freaked myself out to justify the session.
Bottom line: People who'd benefit from therapy can be bad at judging what is and is not "worth" getting counselling for.
