@jplebreton it's weird to me that so many people bag on Ayn Rand...I outgrew the somewhat lousy noir and scifi I read as a teen, & Rand is definitely *lousy*. If you read her when you're over the age of 20/have critical thinking skills, she's clearly full of shit and a bad narrative writer besides.

The hello at feeltrain account got this *incredibly* basic email this AM asking to interview one of us because this dude worked at a "megacorp" but had "been thinking about working for a tech coop". He promised to *include us in his blog post* in return for our time, and included his LinkedIn profile. The last time I got an email this entitled and clueless was during Gamergate.

...then I found out our Operating Agreement was on Hacker News and it all made sense.

I bailed on my daily writing yesterday so today's is, surprise!, twice as much and I don't wanna do it AT ALL.

So I'm locking myself in the office and won't let myself go home until it's done.

@nasser I used to always do my own tax prep, but once we bought a house together etc, and esp founding Feel Train, it's like "ugh my eyes are glazing over and my head hurts please someone else deal with all this." I understand in theory the rules for everything but am so so grateful to just follow the instructions and write checks and mail things or e-sign stuff.

@nasser yeah, the check I am happiest to write every year is the one to our accountant. He saves me so much anxiety tbh, it's worth the ~1k for personal and business tax preparation fees.

(This problem will literally never happen again, because we have a kind accountant now who has given me the paperwork I need. BUT STILL.)
