Since im on this kick, I may as well tell folks how to secure their shit well enough.

Install an adblocker like ublock origin. Ads are bad and often malicious.

Use unique, long passwords and a password manager. Lastpass is good, generates passwords for you, and warns you about duplicate passwords so you can fix them.

Use 2 factor authentication on your password manager and email.

That's about it. There's plenty more ofc. But that's enough for most people.
