yeah, there is a subtle difference between the tacticle bump and the linear switches. some places also sell switch testers so you can try all the varieties to see which matches your feeling and sound needs.

So.. Most mech keyboards are able to work OS agnostic, especially with Mac having the ability to remap individual keys. Some have DIP switches that can swap control/command but almost any should work.
If you have a Microcenter or Frys near you, you can go and try the various switch types. Some people have strong preferences on clicky -vs- tactile -vs- linear
