candle🕯️ @candle

what does it mean for wine to be "dry"???

@candle its the opposite of sweet wine and its the good wine ;)

@candle you don't taste a lot of sugar in it

@candle Maybe you know Montbazillac ? It is not a "vin blanc sec".

@candle not as sweet, mostly. It's a bit more complex than that, but the most noticable characteristic is it isn't as sweet.

@candle makes your mouth feel 'dry', essentially how I view it.

@candle far as I understand, more sour/bitter in flavour than fruity or sweet

@candle @theoutrider yeah, that's it, when there are legal requirements for dry wine labeling (eg brut champagne) they're about having sugar levels below a certain amount

@candle probably that it has more alcohol than water >:3

@candle hard to describe... weird aftertaste like sand? like sorta how carbonated water feels. honestly, champagne is the only dry wine I can stand to drink.

@candle it's the opposite of "sweet", bizzarrely.
