The correct thing to do according to my anxiety brain: use the filthy 15 year old rubber dome keyboard with a nonstandard layout that's downstairs until it falls apart. I don't know why I get like this about being thrifty but it's Bad.

Do you ever get that thing where you want to buy something practical, but nice practical, and your brain is convinced you shouldn't buy it because that's too much money to spend on something fun? I really want a new keyboard, and I would use it for literal decades, but I'm so excited about it I feel like I'm being frivolous

Nyx got bought out by loreal a while ago which sucks pretty bad, but it's basically impossible to buy inexpensive, good quality makeup from nice people. Like, pick any two.

Sorry to recommend a brand, but if you like #makeup every single lip thing I've bought from Nyx has done what it said on the tube. Like, if it says matte it is actually matte and if it says gloss it is actually glossy. They're p good if you want cheapish lipstick!

@thamesynne sometimes when it's chucking it down I like to go into the conservatory because it's almost deafening in there. Loud rain is the best

It's just so easy to get jaded and cynical and think everything is predictable. People will always surprise you eventually, whether that's good or bad. We have done some truly amazing, bewildering shit in all directions, and if there is nothing else I'm proud of us for it's that. We are a lot of things, as a species, but we are very much not boring.

I never know how to talk about stuff like that w/o sounding sarcastic. I'm completely sincere, though! It's not my kink at all, but that's not the point. It's amazing that people agreed about how this fantasy thing would work, let alone something so fucking niche. I have never in my life thought "what would happen if Hannibal Lecter had a dog dick" but other people HAVE. Human beings are so much weirder than we acknowledge! The world is baffling! It's gr8!!

Every time I see ABO fanfic I'm like... filled with love for how weird human beings are. It's so endearing. I sincerely love that for no reason other than wanting to, people spend hundreds of hours of time writing about what it would be like if humans went into heat. I love that it took off as an actual AU with defined rules despite not being in mainstream media at all. People discussed it amongst themselves and came to consensus about this invented kink. Human beings, man.

It's kind of a huge issue because my wireless headphones require the system volume to be maxed, but my wired headphones need it to be minimum. I like having warning of how loud it'll be before I put the wired ones on

Can I make everything pink? Sure. Can I make it go "boop" when I adjust the volume so I know how loud it is? Apparently not!

So far I like the parts of Linux that let me do things OSX didn't, and dislike the bits that worked perfectly on OSX but not Linux
