there was that huge "it gets better" movement a few years ago about homophobia. I really wish there was something like that about being disabled! It mostly feels terrible!

I am trying really hard, but I'm not coping well right now and I don't know what to do. My health isn't getting better and I'm miserable and none of my friends will reply to my messages and I don't know if I'm just that unpleasant or they've all got shit going on. I just want to be healthy but I can't be and I don't know how to fix this. Realistically, I will sleep, and then tomorrow I will ring my therapist. That doesn't make me feel any less shitty now though. Fuck.

TV recommendation: In The Flesh is one of the most moving portrayals of homophobia & death that I can think of. Look up the content warnings first bc it's a bit grim, but if you want to be sad in an artsy way I can think of nothing better.

i'm reading the unabomber's manifesto for a thing i'm writing, and his opinions are SO bad. just like across the board dreadful. they read like bad posts from birdsite. i cannot believe there are people who think he's a genius.

so many white male academics seem to conclude that because they're good at STEM they can figure out universal truth or something, which somehow always seems to be that the way they would like to live is the One True Way and how people have always lived. it's bad.

I feel like if it's something that's known to cause motion sickness like headbob/small fov/whatever, it would be nice if they could put a warning on the download page, even if you couldn't disable it.

Films warn for spiders/nudity/flashing lights/etc, and it's kinda jarring to go from a film telling me "hey heads up this is a bit stabby" to barfing from a game with no warning haha

@alyx @witchfynder_finder I know there's technical issues and stuff, but the amount of games where the problem is apparently something super minor like "the camera jiggles too much when you walk" is kind of ridiculous
