It's fucked up that we used to sleep in two chunks until like the 1700s. It's more fucked up that we forgot that humans used to do that. Like we slept a certain way for literally thousands of years and then we invented gas lamps and gave up
@c8rz for those wondering, it is referred to as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biphasic_and_polyphasic_sleep#Interrupted_sleep.
@c8rz I would love to see studies to see what would happen to people that go back to this kind of sleep patterns
@bootblackCub Wikipedia linked to this 1992 study: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/store/10.1111/j.1365-2869.1992.tb00019.x/asset/j.1365-2869.1992.tb00019.x.pdf?v=1&t=jckgzvpw&s=14617a8f74541b6db175691508765071c1fa1042
(Although I'm not sure if it's good/universally accessible because I'm still half asleep on my phone)
@c8rz Whoa, that is neat! And I am doing it right now! I'll be awake for a couple of hours, and then sleep for the rest of the night. Gotta read up on this.
