reddit in general is a pretty good resource for makeup discussion - r/makeupaddiction is the main one but it gets a bit consumerist at times. i like r/muacjdiscussion!

also, skincare makes a huge difference to how easily face makeup goes on. you don't need anything fancy. r/skincareaddiction is a good starting place if you want cheap stuff!
