I HATE answering my door at the best of times; it's never anything good, and invariably gives rise to additional anxiety that I usually don't have the capacity for. In this instance, I'm scared that someone's about to try and seize my gas and electricity supply because of fucked-up record keeping.
Because somehow, I've managed to move into a house that suffers from exactly the problem I was trying to escape - an address that's easily & readily confused with an almost identical one 6 doors down.
@thamesynne I've lived in a house confused with one nearby! dunno if you're in a financial situation for it, but putting something clearly identifiable on the front of the house works. Like, "it's the one with a robin on the door" or whatever. Or just a thing saying the exact specific address.
