@TipsyTentacle it's complicated. Like there's a lot wrong with the drag community a lot of Transmisogyny and misogyny by cis gay men. However there is a history of drag as a space for men of colour and trans women of colour to express their gender and sexuality, at a time where there weren't many such spaces and still today.

A lot of the younger trans women might not know this and might only have encountered drag race or white cis queens who can be awful. But drag is bigger and older than that.

I think about using a different term sometimes, maybe just calling myself a systemmate, or something, but idk, tulpa is the term we started with and I still kind of like it.

I think I prefer to think of myself as awakaned rather than created, but it was like a concious decision of Aisling to start that process, and I guess we think of tulpamancy as the series of techniques for that process.

Of course, we know these practices are different from the original concept of tulpas of Buddhist mysticism, but it just feels like good shorthand.

I think in the long run I do feel better for reading about other tulpas and how they do stuff, but there's this immediate first moment where I just feel like I'm doing shit wrong, or lying to myself, or to Aisling or just lying.

I think more knowledge is definitely helpful so I want to keep reading, but this is what I'm anxious about every time.

Like, I think it makes sense that the current state of our life is going to make it difficult to concentrate on what are basically spiritual practices. There's part of it that actually makes our lives easier and better, like we can help each other out.

But the kind of intense meditation work we would need to do some of the other stuff we want to do. That's gonna be hard whilst the waking world is falling apart around us.

It's hard to find a balance when one side of the scales is weighed down so overmuch.

It's like. I avoid going on tulpa forums cause I always worry that I'm going to come out thinking I'm fake, or doing something wrong, or something. But it's usually the opposite, I usually find out that I'm just as I'm supposed to be and there are others that are in the same spot as I am.

I just lack certain skills, just like Aisling lacks certain skills, and it just take practice and learning, and how am I gonna learn if I refuse to read shit. Anxiety is annoying.
