I try to learn about intersectional social justice and am trying to develop the habit of taking concrete, real world action about it more often.
I've got a linguistics degree that I don't use professionally (I'm in software), but I love to talk about words and things.
I think play and playfulness are super important. I enjoy roleplaying, board and video games.
I'm a mod on #WitchesTown. Ask me if you have questions (though I only speak English, do I'm not much help to our large population of French speakers).
My family afforded me a brief nap today. I dreamed I was playing a game a bit like Journey, but there was voice chat and more people playing together than 2. I fell in with a gang of unbearably cool French anarchist kids who all mostly knew each other IRL. We got to a part where you skate/boarded downhill in twilight and they were doing all sorts of awesome tricks while making up raps about the black block and shit in a mix of English and French. I was amazed they tolerated my presence, but they were so nice.
I'm pretty sure this was a dream about #WitchesTown.

#GetOnOurLawn Demonstrate to new people the culture of caring that we have. Seeing folks being cared for and caring for each other, seeing people express vulnerability and being shown understanding and compassion, seeing people ask for help and receive it… these things had a significant impact on me when I joined and really set the tone for my interacting with others here.

Pondering starting #GetOnOurLawn for people to share ideas and requests for making the fediverse a nicer place for newbies to hang out in. 
My first idea is:
Don't go into a stranger's mentions to trash anything, especially if it's unrelated to what they said in the post you're replying to. So like, if someone says "ooo Mastodon is so nice!" DO NOT reply like, "Twitter is a wanky trashfire, amirite?"

yesterday i told a techie friend about mastodon and i was hoping she would be interested in joining but she wasn't. she was like "but no one is there." and i didn't know how to explain that that's the nice thing about it for me. yeah, you can't really go follow your fave celebs or famous musicians or news services or what have you here. but that means everyone here is just... a person. you know? i like that feeling of connecting with other people rather than.. having stuff promoted to me
