Uh. I like to kindpost, I guess. It's a new skill I'm learning, anyway. Also real bad joaks.

I try to learn about intersectional social justice and am trying to develop the habit of taking concrete, real world action about it more often.

I've got a linguistics degree that I don't use professionally (I'm in software), but I love to talk about words and things.

I think play and playfulness are super important. I enjoy roleplaying, board and video games.

I'm a mod on #WitchesTown. Ask me if you have questions (though I only speak English, do I'm not much help to our large population of French speakers).

My family afforded me a brief nap today. I dreamed I was playing a game a bit like Journey, but there was voice chat and more people playing together than 2. I fell in with a gang of unbearably cool French anarchist kids who all mostly knew each other IRL. We got to a part where you skate/boarded downhill in twilight and they were doing all sorts of awesome tricks while making up raps about the black block and shit in a mix of English and French. I was amazed they tolerated my presence, but they were so nice.

I'm pretty sure this was a dream about #WitchesTown.

The person who sits facing me just told me that my desk makes them very happy. I just put up a string of holiday lights, but also I have some Ghostbusters Legos (both Ectos 1 and both teams) and some tsum-tsums and such. I'm just really pleased that people like it. Or, anyway, the person that has to stare at it all day.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through Provenance by @ann_leckie, and it just went from good to super good. I'll write a thing when I'm done like normal, but I needed to put that out in the world.

Also: Getting over a sickness and then getting a full night's sleep is frickin' amazing. I endorse it 100% over continuing being sick, if you want make it happen.

Sickness defeated. Whew. Fevers are the butts. But now I'm back to normal. You know, more or less.

Fever came back a bit. Bleh. Resting is good, but I always wake up sweaty. More weird dreams. I have weird dreams when I'm not sick, so sick dreams are especially confusing.

I had some wild-ass fever dreams last night, y'all. But my temperature's down, now. Going to rest and regain strength the rest of the day.

Weeeeeeeeelp. Got home and was feeling bad. Sir enough, I have a fever. ✨Yay!✨ 🤒

I have officially passed the point where I can't be bothered to log into Twitter even to RT something someone is asking to help spread or to reply to questions someone's asking and instead hoping others will proxy my answer from their own account or whatever.

A friend of mine who is moving in a few months hosted a final game night at her house last night. Lots of people, lots of games... plenty of drinking... on a Sunday.

I slept like ✨ass✨ when I got home, too, because the 3yo had stolen my spot in my own bed, so I slept on a camping mattress we keep in their room.

Happily, I am still maintaining my lifetime streak of never having a hangover, but... still. Not performing at peak capacity today.

Random thought: I wish that video players with controls that hide would still put a 1-2 pixel high progress bar at the bottom of the frame all the time. Except if it's in full-screen, of course. Like, sometimes I want to be able to see if I'm 1/3 or 3/4 if the way through a video without wiggling my mouse or whatever.

The 3yo would like everyone to know that it's froggy outside.
