In professionally edited and published novels sometimes I'll see a word like "casually" used in a context that obviously fits "causally" better. I always wonder where the fail lies in that. Is there an editor who didn't know the word the author put and so "corrected" it? Did the editor (or author) expect the right word so much that they didn't notice there was a different work hanging out because they're so close? 🤔
Fuck, y'all. I really like the word "vagueposting". I think it's my favorite of the -posting compounds. "Subtoot" (and it's older sibling "subtweet") just never felt right to me. #vaguepost

I've been working on being more kind and compassionate (this place is one of the first places where my behavior changes about this really coalesced). @fidgety's recent thread about Mr. Rogers has inspired me more. If I could be 1/10th of what that guy seems to've been with the consistency he seems to've been it, I would consider that a wild success.
A lot of people are praising my work on ActivityPub and I really appreciate that. ActivityPub was a group effort though and I do want to make sure other people get the credit they deserve.
