I don't know how to ascii a house.

@envgen Oh my god. I loaled. That's the most ridiculous thing. I love it.

@chosafine Haha. I just spotted my own typo, but I kinda like this question better? Could a postcast network logo REALLY be anything besides argyle? Haha.

6yo: Happy Valentine's Day, Daddy!
Me: Happy Valentine's Day, [6yo]! Or, as I like to call it: The day after my birthday.
6yo: Well, I like to call it Valentine's Day.
Me: Fair enough. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@punsandpotions I'm glad to hear it. I was worried about you, but didn't want to add to social media notifications just to make myself feel better. I hope you get some rest and a hug or whatever you need.

@chosafine What is a podcast network logo, but argyle?

@KitsuneAlicia I love names like that (in English, which is the only language I really know).

@Qwyrdo Yeah. That's probably the first "weird" feature I'd drop just because it doesn't add a TON of interest and it's probably harder to do than the other stuff. Instead, I could make it SOV order or something and get a similar level of weird-feeling-ness with less chance of fucking it up myself. 😜

Oh. I also have an idea of pronouns being positional, rather than gendered? Like, if the previous phrases have 3 potential antecedents, it would be like "the previous thing" and "the thing three back from here" or whatever. I think you could get away with only covering 3 with unique words.

@maunzikation I guess also, tbh, I often procrastinate putting laundry away so hard that I'm dressing out of clothes randomly piled in the laundry basket until it's empty and I need to do laundry again. Heh.

@maunzikation I put a storage system into my clothes closet and the drawers are wire mesh, so I can see into them, but still get the vertical space usage that having to be able to see into the top of an otherwise opaque container doesn't allow. I don't have the thing you described about needing to see into things, but it might work for you?

I hardly hang anything up. Only stuff that will absolutely look terrible if folded. Because it takes forever to put things on hangers and I hate it. So I've no advice on that front.

English already does this in the future tense, often, but you could take it all the way. You could say that the tense markers were sort of like prepositional conjugation, but I envision the word to be identical in "I did a running" and "Running does a being great" ("does a being"?!?!).

Anyway, it's a pretty weird idea. , I guess. I forgot to tag the first one. Oops.

Good morning, frens.

This morning I'm thinking about what if a language was ergative, prepositional (add a word, don't inflect a noun) AND didn't… really have verbs? Or only had one (to do) or maybe two (to be?). All other verbs are gerunds, so like, Literal translations to English (assuming SVO word order, which 🤷🏻‍♂️) would look like:

• I did (a) running yesterday.
• I will-do (a) singing tomorrow.
• She did (a) giving a treat to the dog.

@Nezchan Oh yeah. Coates's Black Panther run has been good. And I'm reading a bunch of stuff by/about women. Always good to check if you're missing something important.

@ThatDamnCat What about when pet people nice you. I find that's common on here…
