why do so many articles about how we should be defending email from google or whoever start out "no-one really likes email, but..."

@tomharris @gdkar @staticsafe Well, even if you do that if you don't manage it you get a bunch of personal email you don't want from crap you signed up for. It's like hating phones because telemarketers are the only people who ever call you.
